SWOSS (Sex Worker Outreach and Support Service)

Supporting adults working in the sex industry in Blackpool

Introduction:

The service was developed following research in Blackpool to identify the needs of local sex workers
The service supports all those over the age of 18 involved in the sex industry in Blackpool
It recognises the diversity of the sex working community and the differing needs of people
The service providing friendly and approachable support
The service promoting understanding and awareness to the wider community

What can we provide?:

A free and confidential service

Condoms ( and lubricant) delivered to your door or collected from the office
Advice and support by telephone, text, at your place of work or at the service centre
Time to identify your requirements and help to access all the services you need. An opportunity to promote personal safety, sexual health and emotional wellbeing. Help accessing BBV or contraception services, support with substance use, positive lifestyle changes, reducing harm and exiting sex work. Offering signposting to other agencies who may be of help to you, and help with making and attending appointments
A monthly newsletter and forum offering information and opportunity for your voices to be heard
A flexible service with day, evening and weekend access
